The first in the world exhibition, held at the North Pole
The year 2007 – the year of the 70 th anniversary of the first Soviet drifting polar station SP-1 and legendary flights of Valery Tchkalov and Mikhail Gromow crews through the North Pole. The beginning of systematic studying polar areas by Soviet scientists. Heroic historical events of the great country. What do we know about it? I.D. Papanin, E.T. Krenkel, E.K. Fyodorov, P.P. Shirshov… What did these people strive for, what did they dream about? What did work mean for them, in conditions, so far from comfort, that it is difficult even to imagine for us, their descendants? Did they consider it as a heroic deed or did they just fulfill their duty? To learn that – means to come closer to understanding these people, to open slightly the door to the past, to understand oneself better at the present time, to build worthy future. To give everyone who wishes an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the history, to feel its breathe not in a museum, but in real life – MVK International Exhibition Holding Company took this mission upon itself.
At present our specialist are engaged in forming documentary exposition, dedicated to courageous explorers of the North Pole. There are being processed and systematized unique materials, provided by Arctic and Antarctic research Institute, Russian Arctic and Antarctic state museum (Saint –Petersburg), museum after I.D. Papanin under Institute of biology of inland waters, regional local history museum of Murmansk, Moscow House of Photography, Roman Karmen Regional Public Fund of non-fiction cinema support, V.P. Tchkalov Memorial museum, Central museum of Air Force of Russian Federation, “Metelitsa” crew private collectors. The results of this work will be demonstrated at all exhibitions of the Holding all over the year. We do not invite people to the museums, which can not be available to everyone, because of their distant geographic location. We are synthesizing "Mobile polar museum", which comes to people itself. Every year MVK exhibitions gather more than 11000 companies-participants and more than 1 000 000 visitors from 60 countries and all Russian regions. If, at least, every tenth visitor gets from historical heritage something important for him, for his life, for creating new business and development of corporate culture – we will consider our mission fulfilled. During intervals between exhibitions in Moscow we are planning to acquaint with historical exposition citizens of Saint-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg – the cities, where MVK offices are functioning actively. The unique museum will visit all large Russian cities!
Our new project, dedicated to historical heroic events of our country, will start on April 23. It is on this day, when there will be opened the first exhibition in the world at the North Pole, aimed at uniting MVK team and representatives of different kinds of business, “stimulate” everyone to successful work during the year The expedition departs form Moscow. Having landed on Spitsbergen, the participants will take flight to Barneo. At this station, located beyond the Arctic Circle, the crew will be preparing for a decisive attack. . At this mysterious spot of the globe there will be a tent, completely recreating atmosphere of the expedition of 1937. The exhibition will last 2 hours, during which participants and guests will be able to immerse themselves in the exciting atmosphere of unknown feelings, unavailable for citizens of large cities, used to welfare of civilization. Later, it will be this tent, having visited “the top of the planet”, that will become nucleus of "Mobile polar museum", bearing unique aura of the North.
Meeting of Heroes-Papanins′ Moscow, 1938
The grand project becomes a reality, when its implementation is being realized by a leader, who does not accept half measure, who raises high standards and overcomes all the barriers. During the previous year MVK Exhibition Holding Company proved its belonging to the glorious tribe of pioneers. The flight of Anatoly Kvochur by the route of V. Tchkalov Moscow – Far East - Moscow, within the framework of which there was held the first in the world exhibition in stratosphere, united the best representatives of Russian furniture manufactures. Exposition in Russian State Duma. Exhibition at Eiffel Tower, united leading Russian exhibition companies. All this – stages of a long way to new success of each person, new communicative skills, new quality of life, new heights in business.
In the modern world in conditions of globalized economics, exhibitions play role of not only market catalyst, but they are turned into centers, uniting people, countries and nations, epochs and cultures. The exhibition at the North Pole is unique. It will be held at the place where there are no differences between East and West, that are traditionally opposite not only from the point of geography, but also from the point of philosophy. Rationalism and spirituality should not be opposed to each other, they can be equally used for building happy future for the whole mankind. And MVK International Exhibition Holding Company opens these brilliant perspectives for its colleagues and partners.
Meeting of Heroes-Papanins′ Moscow, 1938
Binding together thread of historic events, MVK becomes flexible small bridge between the past and the present – uniting, forming and promoting.
Uniting unique personalities of all generations, leading business, all progressive forces. Forming active life position and reverent attitude to one’s own country. Promoting self-perfection in life and business.
“We are going to the North Pole not to find geographic spot of intersection of earth meridians. Reaching this spot does not bear any high value of itself. We are going there to make new discoveries in a large, unexplored part of human relations and feelings, uniting people, who seem to be opposite, for achieving common goal. In extreme situation you feel yourself part of one unit – company, country, the whole mankind. Our exhibition at the Pole and its continuation during the year is aimed at attracting attention of all people, who are not indifferent, to the great history of our country, country with a unique industrial, intellectual, human potential. We make a statement: “We are Russia! We are. We are able. We are ready!” – in such a way the project is characterized by its Head and its idea inspirer Chairman of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President of MVK International Holding Company Alexey Shaburov. Only our real present actions will allow to unite the past with the future and to build the world, we are dreaming of and want to live in.
